Humphrey Bogart having rubber leaches applied to his chest for the filming of The African Queen. Director John Huston wanted to use real leeches and brought in a leech-breeder with a tank full of them. It made Bogart queasy and nervous and ultimately rubber leeches were used. A close-up of a real leech was shot on the breeder’s chest.

Macaulay Culkin watching as Dan Aykroyd puts money in a swear can on the set of My Girl. Jamie Lee Curtis instituted the swear can to prevent “trucker talk” as Aykroyd called it. Aykroyd said in an interview “It was $5 dollars for this word and $10 for another word and by end of the movie the kids had about five grand in there.”
